Once again this year, the tournament has shifted in performance and the playoffs were often decided by a close call in terms of advancement or non-advancement. British Columbia's Leprechauns overcame the London Knights and Tel Aviv Lacrosse by a single goal difference on their way to the title, beating Purple Reign 7-4 in the semi-finals.

Their final opponent, the Nova Scotia Privateers, won their round-robin group convincingly and faced the host Custodes in the quarterfinals, beating them 8-6. The Privateers won a thrilling semi-final against the Alberta Lacrosse team 6-3.

Then in the finals, a packed arena saw some great lacrosse. The dramatic game ended 7-7 in regulation time and the team from Western Canada won the sudden death overtime lottery.
