Team intro
We have been developing a box lacrosse program in Norway for several years. After nearly a decade of effort, we have received official approval from the Norwegian Sports Board to form our first national box lacrosse team. This marks a historic moment for Norwegian lacrosse as we prepare to compete in the upcoming European Championship, our first international tournament.
We are proud to have Jordan Wheaton, player with the Alberta Warriors in AHM and GM/Coach/Player for the Fort Saskatchewan Sr Rebels, as our head coach. His experience and leadership will be key in preparing us for this milestone.
To strengthen our development, we would like to bring the Norwegian national team to the AHM Tournament under the GSI Grizzlies name. Our roster is made up of committed Norwegian players from across the country. We know we are not favorites to win, but we will compete hard, learn from the best, and embrace every challenge.
Off the floor, we will bring the same energy and enthusiasm the GSI Grizzlies are known for, supporting other teams, cheering from the stands, and contributing to the tournament atmosphere.
This opportunity means a great deal to us. After years of groundwork, being part of AHM would help accelerate the growth of box lacrosse in Norway and solidify its place in Norwegian Lacrosse.
