Team intro
Istanbul Sultans Lacrosse Club was established in 2009 and is the first lacrosse club in Turkey, based in Istanbul. The club was founded by Patrick Dougherty, who brought the sport of lacrosse to the Republic of Turkey in 2009. Istanbul Sultans has played field lacrosse against international teams in country and abroad. The Sultans were the first team in Turkey's history to play box and compete internationally and finished eight.
